Hubby came home with Kroger brand curry powder. Ingredients are listed on the back. If nothing is on the suspect list, could it still have gluten in it? For example, it lists tumeric, pepper, cumin etc., but nothing like natural flavor, seasonings, anti-caking agents, food starch.

Should not have gluten if all the ingredients listed are 'whole' spices that you described.

Wheat would have to be listed. I can't imagine barley being in there.
