I just wanted to highly recommend the Red Robin in La Mirada, CA. I had such a wonderful experience, that I had to e-mail them to commend them for their attention to detail.
The letter appears below, it should be self –explanatory.
For anyone who’s never been to Red Robin, or is visiting CA, it great family-style restaurant that serves terrific burgers. I haven’t been there since I realized I had celiac disease, but will definitely be back.
The location I went to was in La Mirada, but they were so well-organized and attentive, that I can’t imagine the service would vary by location. Such an organized, seamless response had to come from corporate.
Just thought I’d share one of the success stories… Lord knows I go here when I have a bad experience
Take care,
David Plowman

Hello:
I just wanted to commend the staff at the La Mirada, CA restaurant for their attentiveness to my dietary needs.
I have celiac disease, which means even traces of flour can make me ill. I knew to download the gluten-free menu from your website (and thank you for having the information available there in the first place, btw) and took it with me.
My server said she was well aware of gluten free, and answered all of my questions about the menu. When I said I wasn’t sure what items I could have, she assured me the kitchen staff had a checklist in back and would refer to it. Then, without my even asking for it, the manager came to me, introduced himself, and assured me that they had set up an “allergy alert” for my order!
I was amazed at the efficiency, and received more attention than I ever would have expected!!
Thank so much for your professionalism and attention to detail. I will definitely be going back to Red Robin. I will also be going to all of the celiac message boards and relaying my wonderful experience.
Thank you again for your help…. My only regret was that I didn’t write down the name of my server or the manager so I could thank them by name.
Sincerely,
David Plowman
P.S. I had a chicken burger, and it was very tasty, by the way…. The server even supplied me with extra napkins, knowing that the lettuce wrap was messier than the traditional bun.
