I spoke with Safeway about their Safeway and Select brands today (which I find quite good), on 11/6/2009. The rep said gluten is one of the highest priority allergen labeling issues at Safeway. "If gluten is in there, it will be on the ingredient list," he said. He also offered to fax or email a list of their gluten-free store brand items within 24 hours.

Cool! Now I can eat my Safeway Italian Sausage!
Loving connection is like water, bearing life & healing. Once, we were connected to all things; but we have disconnected from nature & ourselves. The animals, wild & domestic, are anxious to reconnect with us consciously so we may learn what they have to teach: how to love unconditionally, to parent well, to be at peace, to be resilient, to live lightly on the Earth in harmony with the animal & plant nations... Please consider learning animal communication. Anyone can do it, it's fun, and you'd help save the Earth!

That is funny you say that, I emailed Safeway two different times for gluten free information and they never took the time to respond to me. Was a bit frustrating, you think they would at least care enough to respond with a simple answer.
Share some of the info when you receive it if you dont mind =)
Experienced first symptoms in October 2007
