Here is the link to the new "Consultation Document on Precautionary Labelling of Priority Allergens in Prepackaged Foods" from Health Canada.

They are asking for consultation on the document. It's all stated in the link; hopefully, the link works.

Tapioca intolerant
First cousin dx'd with Celiac Disease
Grandmother died of malnutrition b/c everything made her sick... sounds like celiac to me.
Gluten-free since June 2005
Dx with IBS February 2005
Blood tests both negative (or inconclusive?) for celiac (in 2002 and 2004)

Hi
I just went to this website and did the whole consultation thing. I am so happy they are actually asking for input. Anyone else in Canada should definatly check this out and take the time to put your comments and suggestions in, that is what they are looking for is our feedback.
Hopefully that will get these changes into effect really soon.

Gluten Free since Apr 14-08
Mar 08.....Blood work-Positive for Celiac Results were High (92)
Apr 08....Biopsy Results indicating abnormalities associated with celiac disease & Villi atrophy.
May-08.... Appendicitis
July 08.....X-ray indicates Degenerative Disc Disease
Symptoms that the gluten free diet has helped: All Stomach Problems, Bloating, Vomiting, Heartburn & D, Energy, overall feeling of health again, Migraine, Degenerative disc Disease, and Infertility.
