I see that the gluten free list shows the "side salad" and "caesar salad without chicken" being gluten free. Why aren't the others gluten free? The ingredients in them look fine. Plus, my brother works at a mcdonalds there and says the chicken has to be gluten free because the grilled chicken alone is gluten-free and thats what they put in the chicken salads. I might be getting a part time job at McDonalds so I will post if I see any cross contamination going on.

The grilled chicken itself is gluten free but the way the prepare it makes it not gluten free due to cross contamination.
The crispy chicken is obviously not gluten free so I assume you were just asking about the grilled chicken salads.

the info that I had was that it was in cross contamination. That the crispy chicken and the grilled chicken are both cut up in the same area for the salads so if the employees aren't careful about cleaning in between then Yep, the once safe grilled chicken is now contaminated!

Could that mean grilled chicken by itself is not gluten-free?

If you ask for the chicken to not be cut it will be fine. Have them place the chicken breast on your salad whole and you will be fine, you can cut it yourself. The knife that is used to cut the chicken is the problem. It is used for both the crispy and grilled chicken which would make the salad contaminated if you do not ask for it to be put on the salad whole.
