Meal Plans For Scd?

I really need some help so if anyone can tell me what kind of meals they prepare on the SCD I would appreciate it! :)

I have 3 young children at home and also am 5 months pregnant so it's hard just to do the day to day stuff. I'm hypoglycemic and also awating the gluten test results from enterolab. I really want to change my ways to improve energy. A few days back on the gluten-free diet and I already feel & see a difference in my kids.

I want to do the SCD diet but I don't know where to start. I'm guessing I can get a yogurt maker off amzn. Other than that, where can I get a weekly meal plan that includes snacks and "dessert" for my kids?

I eat snacks that are "legal" but than am still hungry afterward. I want to be sure I am eating what is allowed, but enough for the baby as well, but also not throwing my blood sugar off. Is this possible with the SCD and how do I know what amounts to eat? Also, how do I prepare meals for a family on this diet?

Any tips, lists of where to start would be awesome! thanks so much!

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs made with a little yogurt.

almond flour pancakes with butter and honey.

Fresh fruit.

Snack - apple and yogurt or apple and peanutbutter

lunch - Fried Chicken, mashed cauliflower (like mashed potatoes)

Peas, carrots, winter squash; Homemade butter pecan frozen yogurt. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

Sweets:

Blonde brownies (almond flour, butter and honey)

Coconut macaroons

Supper - grilled chicken salad - yogurt dressing (like ranch) or vinegerette dressing. Fresh pineapple with french cream.

Lemon Tarts, (Recipe's from Healing Foods cookbook.)

This is not a low carb diet.

Don't eat anything that causes a reaction, but eat as much as you want of what agrees with you. I munch all day long and eat well at each meal. Theses are low calorie foods, and all very very good for me. I increased my bone density by 2.5%. It's not a lot, but if I continue to increase in 5 years I will have cured my osteopenia! Also, my iron level is excellent, B-12 level normal, and vitamin D normal (I supplement D) Plus my skin is soft and clear, my hair healthy and shiny. My mind is clear and sharp and I have tons of energy. Life is finally very good!

Enjoy!

Vitamin D deficiency.  Not enough Omega Threes. Another autoimmune disease like arthritis, maybe.

@RMJ it makes sense as it’s something I’ve experienced more than once. Currently 24 weeks and baby is doing well! Will be seeking more medical advice today

Thank you! This is great information and perfect timing because we have our first appointment for a second opinion tomorrow.

Bright blood in the stool would indicate bleeding down at the lower end in the colorectal area as opposed to the small bowel below the stomach where celiac manifests damage to the villous lining. Are these blood stools persistent? It's not unusual for this to happen once in a while to most anyone when a small surface vessel breaks, kind of like a nose bleed. As Scott Adams said, you must continue to consume regular amounts of gluten if the specialist will be doing additional testing for celiac disease, which could include an endoscopy with biopsy of the small bowel lining.
