Dear anyone who knows and is kind enough to spend a moment sharing:

I am currently on the "gluten challenge" to reintroduce enough gluten into my daily diet to make my small intestine and blood show signs of celiac (if I have it) so that I will know if that is the cause of my symptoms. My doctor ran the Prometheus Lab test to see if I have the DNA that makes it likely I have celiac.

1) Below are the results. Can you help me understand what they mean and how likely it is that I could have celiac?
2) How likely is it that my family has it?

Alleles Detected: HLA allelic variants associated with celiac disease detected.

DQ8 heterozygous

Any help and shared thoughts are welcome!

Thanks!
