Just saw some posts that gave food advice that I think is very wrong. I posted that I hoped one was a typo & the info from the resturaunts website saying the fries have wheat. Is there anything else we should do? I have noticed some other "odd" or questionable stuff sometimes. Thanks

Post your opinion/concern, as you did, and ask the person to provide the source of the data. If you aren't up for this, and you think the info may be potentially dangerous, report the post so the mods know to look at it.

Thanks. Duh! I didn't see the lovely "report" button. You know I'm not shy so if I know they are wrong & might hurt someone, I'll speak up.

realize, however, that in many cases, things are a simple right or wrong on this subject.
take the example of McDonald's fries. there was a big hubub here (and elsewhere, I'm sure) about McDonald's announcing that one of their flavoring ingredients could contain wheat, but it was gluten free because of how processed it was. independent testing showed the fries to be gluten free, but there is the potential for controversy. (and someone please correct me if I'm misremembering, since I never eat there anyway.)
the same is true for anything with CODEX wheat starch.

I just got back on & see where I made a big typo. I apologized for the bad mistake. Remember we all are human & crap happens.

You can edit your own post for 48 hours after making it. If you become aware of a serious error after the window has closed, make a report explaining what needs to be corrected. One of us who can will make the edit for you. The report button is at the lower left corner of each post, including your own.

You have an excellent reputation. Those of us that "know" you could tell it was just a typo.

I think I said that I hoped that was a typo. The girl is new & I didn't want her to think you can pick stuff off or eat a little. Especially since she was having cheating issues. Truce?
