I started natural thyroid replacement today....I was on synhroid for a year or so. I got it from canada because I heard Armour was reformulated and not as good. Anyone eles take erfa? I was hoping I would feel fabulous today, but I feel a little crappy...muscle and joint pain, headache, tierd....but no palps thank god. I would love to hear about your experiences after switching to natural.

Lots of people like it - say it is like the old ( pre reformulation ) Armour of years ago. It even melts under the tongue like the old Armour which is great for any of us with bad absorption from Celiac.

Have you seen the Facebook page re Save Natural Thyroid

Thanks for the info. Maybe my dose needs to be higher. I have been doing alot of reading about natural replacment and I think I picked the best one. I just want to know about other people's experiences...it helps me stay grounded.

It can take a while to build up the levels with Natural. You have to start low and build up gradually - every few weeks. The conversion charts from Synthroid to Natural and not that accurate. Are you splitting the dose ?

no...my endo said to take the whole thing in the morning. I felt nothing this morning. Yesterday I took 25mcg synthriod and 5 cytomel, and I felt good in the morning. By 12 noon I felt I needed more. I expected to feel the same today when I made the switch, but I felt like crap all day. My joints and muscles ached and my stomach hurts too. I feel worse today that any other day. I think tomorrow I will go back to the synthetic and reboot. I will try again in a week I think. I don't want to put so much time into climbing he natural latter. Why can't I start at a high dose and work my way down? I would rather feel racey part of the day than crappy all the day.
