Maybelline Shiny-Licious Lip Gloss

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Maybelline Shiny-Licious lip glosses are gluten free?

I found a few blogs that list them as gluten free, but I have a few problems:

1) There are no ingredients on the product - I emailed Maybelline regarding this, but they never got back to me.

2) Maybelline seem to only provide a list of gluten containing ingredients to watch out for (but it's of no use if the ingredients are not listed on the product!!)

3) The color I bought is 'Strawberry Tart'. I heard strawberry flavoured cosmetics can contain Barley... so in your opinion, if Shiny-Licious are gluten free, do you think this particular Strawberry Tart flavour Shiny-Licious might be suspect?

Anyone has experience using Maybelline products?

Thanks a lot!

Btw, this is the particular one I am wondering about:

I found the answer to my question... They are gluten free... thought I'd post it here in case anyone else was wondering about these.

I called Maybelline and they emailed me the list of ingredients found in all the different Shiny-licious lip glosses + a list of ingredients Maybelline use that contain gluten. After comparing both lists, they appear to be gluten free.

I put some on yesterday and no reaction. Yay! :D

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
