Hi everyone,

I am pretty knew to this site so just thought I would say Hi and introduce myself. My name is Jen and I am 21 yrs old. I was just recently diagnosed with celiac disease about 6 weeks ago. I am still attending college for a degree in Social Work. I will have to say that going gluten free ontop of my dairy and nut allergy has been very hard and depressing. I know there are alot of alternatives out there. I have learned ALOT in this sort amount of time. What else... well I dont know how to work this site, I am trying to figure it out lol.
Well thats all for now, just wanted to say Hi and meet some people. Hopefully I can find some more support on this site.... I am starting to really need it.

Hi! I'm also new, but I found out that I can ask any question, and people would try to help you. I also have allergy to nuts and dairy, and many other things. It is hard. Just today I was trying to make myself gluten-free and CF pizza from the scratch. It was :unsure:

. O my God! Yuck! It is hard to cook, and not to use the REAL thing. I better stay with plain potatoes for now. Haha...

Welcome to you both! Hope you find lots of valuable information here, I know I did.

As for gluten-free baking, it is an animal all of its own. You'll get the hang of it, just keep working at it.

Hi Jen!

I'm Heather, and I'm new too. I was diagnosed via an elimination diet about 3 weeks ago. I am learning too, and this site has been the source of most my knowledge! The people on here are great. Kind, caring, and spiffy quick with their responses to our burning questions!
