Biok Plus Probiotic Capsules, Anyone Tried Them?

Hi

Did a search on our forum but didn't come up with much

.

The C-diff came back for the 2nd time and had been treated with 125 mg of vancomycin for 2 weeks then went tapered down to 3-2-1 pill for 3 weeks.

This ID specialist treats on the worst cases and found that over the past 6 months this 50 billion capsule has really healed the flora and got it in balance with almost all his patients.

He took me off the vanco and just doing this along with 4 capsules of Asacol 3 times a day.

Any experiences will be appreciated.

Hi Judy: (in Temecula :P )

I am not familiar what your issues are but apparently recurrent C-diff. If it's probiotics (and good ones) that you are looking for, I have just been prescribed a really good one by Krispin Sullivan (The Krispin Report - on lectins), to heal my leaky gut, don't know how well it would work on C-diff, but it contains 7 probiotics, is in a micronized powder that you sprinkle on yogurt, ice cream, whatever, or mix with water (if you must  ) that contains 254 billion organisms. It is resistant to digestion until it reaches the right place and it is called VSL#3 and is available from Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals on-line. It is pricey, but if you have been having this problem for a long time it might be worth it. I apparently still have a leaky gut which is why I have all these lectin intolerances which we are trying to send on their way back to where they belong - safely inside the lectin plants and not playing gobbledygook with my heart rhythms  . Just a thought if what you are trying doesn't work (which I hope does :) )
