We are traveling to Wisconsin Dells in July to see family. Does anyone know any Gluten-Free friendly restaurants to go to? WE have a 6 & 8 yr od boys. It can be very simple but good food. Thanks so much.

I really wish I could be more helpful on this. I only live maybe an hour and a half away from the dells, but I never ever go there. Here is a list of all the restaurants there though, with phone numbers. If your family is local maybe they can call around for you.

Well Wisconsin is a very meats and potato kind of place so I am sure you will be able to find something. I am not sure at the Dells but I know Wisconsin has outback steakhouses that have gluten free menus.

There is no Outback by the dells. There is one in LaCrosse, one in Wausau, two in Madison and two in Milwaukee.

Ishnala Restaurant is in that area. I had a meal there recently that was fine. I did call ahead so they could look for me.

I ate at several restaurants in Wisconsin Dells during my stay. One of them was a German restaurant, called Essen Haus, and they were more than accomodating, even bringing me ingredient labels. Every other restaurant I stayed at was equally accomodating and I didn't get sick the entire time! Most of them were mom&pop places or diner types. I even found food I could eat at Mt. Olympus! Just ask your server if you're not sure :) I was surprised how many people knew what Celiac disease was.

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.

My daughter has celiac disease and has had for a long time. She fell loses strictly gluten-free diet and recently got rid of all cutting boards in any gluten in her house at all. She just had a stool test and it came back showing of gigantic response to gluten in her diet. What could be going on since she doesn't eat any gluten and is very careful about any kind of hidden glue? Help!
