Undiagnosed Celiac Disease ~ 43 years

3/26/09 gluten-free - dignosed celiac - blood 3/3/09, biopsy 3/26/09, double DQ2 / single DQ8 positive

10/27/09 diagnosed fibromyalgia - supplemented with amino acids - improvement followed by substantial deterioration

maybe one good hour per day for ~17 months

8/10/11 - Elimination Diet for Autoimmune Disease - incredible improvement along with clear reactions to most high lectin foods

only remaining symptom - severe heat intolerance / reaction to heat, humidity and exercise
Tomato, Pepper, Potato, Peanut, Soy, Bean, Pea, Citrus, Pineapple, Avocado, Shellfish, Dairy, Grain, Nut and Seed FREE

...this was one of my earliest symptoms as a child -- the enzyme (DAO) needed to regulate histamine is created in the small intestine.

If you have read this far - hang in there - obtaining health with any AI is a marathon, not a sprint!

I'm copying this for tomorrow night....and no bungee jumping for me - that snap would fry my circuits - landing in water is the only way to jump off a bridge - oh don't forget to wear tennies to break the water :)

I had half an onion in the fridge so I fried it up, added some stewed tomatoes and put it over rice to go with my quesadilla. I have been neglecting my veggies lately because I have been worn down so much. I haven't been as responsible as I should be about my veggies lately and I need to knock it off.

Bungee jumping is on my list of things to do one day. It looks like a blast! I don't do water on my face so jumping into water won't cut it for me. :P I'm not sure exactly what it is that makes me say I'll jump off a bridge but there is no way I would ever jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I guess I'm just wired funny.

It was downright cold in Florida this weekend. (Really, I swear.) I made red beans and rice yesterday and have chili in the crock pot for tomorrow.

Former boyfriend known as "other" smoked a chicken today. I stuck 1/2 a lime and an onion in it. Had that with smashed potatoes and really awful gravy with salad. He's lucky. (So am I.)

Positive improvement from elimination diet. Mother dx'd by Mayo Clinic in late 1980s. Negative blood tests and Upper & Lower GI biopsy. Parathyroidectomy 12/09. Recurring high calcium level 4/10. Gluten-free 4/10. Soy & Dairy Free 6/10. Corn free 7/10. Grain free except rice 8/10. Legume free 6/11. Fighting the battle of the battle within myself, and I'm going to win!

As of 2/12, tolerating dairy, corn, legumes and some soy, but I limit soy to tamari sauce or modest soy additives. Won't ever try quinoa again!

Discoid Lupus from skin biopsy 2011, discovered 2/12 when picking up medical records. Systemic Lupus Dx 6/12. Shingles 10/12.

Cornbread topped chicken pot pie for dinner tonight. Apparently my husband has wanted pot pie for about 2 years. but never told me so he is a happy individual tonight.

Back from travels. Do not seem to have been hit...unless tomorrow I wake up and have trouble remembering how to make coffee cause
I'm gluten head stupid, so yaaay!

Went to the gym today for the first time since I was quite ill back in 2010. MAJOR victory for me..

When I am unable to walk or lift my arms tomorrow we'll see how excited I really am about it. :unsure:

Dinner tonight:
Burgers and sweet potato oven fries

(but I'll keep my opinions about those poor burgers to myself.)

Hey, welcome back buddy, you went to the gym? Well, I think I need some of that whole30 thing. Oh, wait, I already did. 2 people I haven't seen since before I started said how well I look today :)

Great news, really great. Isn't it great when you ache like a normal person, because you used some muscles to exercise?

Dinner was sloooow cooked beef, broccoli and carrots.

- Symptoms from 2001, maybe before. Across 20+ years, these have included, vomiting, D, migraines, headaches, recurrent miscarriage, inflammation problems (failure to heal from injuries) brain fog, anxiety and more!
- Elimination diet using Atkins, 2003 – excluded wheat, caffeine, quorn. 2005, excluded sesame, alcohol
- Started diagnosis route April 2012, blood tests, endoscopy – said negative, gluten challenge, clearly something very wrong, had to stop after 3 weeks.
- Gluten Free, August 2012, Corn Free, September 2012. Removed most processed gluten free foods.
- Genetic testing, December 2012 – negative – Diagnosis – Non Celiac Gluten Intolerance (NCGI)
- Elimination diet, January 2013 – all of the above plus dairy, legumes, all grains, sugar, additives, white potatoes, soy. Reintroducing sloooowly now. Health improving.

Seasoned boneless skinless chicken thighs with a plain baked sweet potato and rosemary roasted brussel sprouts tonight.

I think brussel sprouts, asparagus and sweet potatoes are three of my new favorite foods. Yum!!!
