Man my house smelled great tonight...First a triple chocolate cake, then a rich vanilla cake and just pulled a sinful strawberry out -- no ice cream tomorrow as we will be partying at the bay/beach bon fire -me thinks no one will miss it with three cake choices -- sure wish you all could cruise by :)

I  swear, I think my pants just got tighter reading this post.

I'm stuck in this mire of feeding a sometimes GE husband and frankly having little interest myself in food, despite being constantly hungry. It just is not pleasant to chew things, even if I can manage to get through a meal, I shouldn't have to drug myself senseless on painkillers just to eat. I'll probably make him a burger and fries tonight. I'll maybe cook up a pot of fresh applesauce for myself. I'm still doing okay with roasted veggies too, since they don't get too terribly crunchy.

- Symptoms from 2001, maybe before. Across 20+ years, these have included, vomiting, D, migraines, headaches, recurrent miscarriage, inflammation problems (failure to heal from injuries) brain fog, anxiety and more!
- Elimination diet using Atkins, 2003 – excluded wheat, caffeine, quorn. 2005, excluded sesame, alcohol
- Started diagnosis route April 2012, blood tests, endoscopy – said negative, gluten challenge, clearly something very wrong, had to stop after 3 weeks.
- Gluten Free, August 2012, Corn Free, September 2012. Removed most processed gluten free foods.
- Genetic testing, December 2012 – negative – Diagnosis – Non Celiac Gluten Intolerance (NCGI)
- Elimination diet, January 2013 – all of the above plus dairy, legumes, all grains, sugar, additives, white potatoes, soy. Reintroducing sloooowly now. Health improving.

I think she could crumble up the burger and swallow it? Might make her feel better to get some protein.

Because I know, they are macaroons. I could spot a macaroon from a mile away. They are an amazing, naturally gluten free, melt in your mouth, French delicacy that will make you wonder how you ever lived without something so amazingly wondrous.

I gave my husband a heart attack at the Fire and Ice festival we went to. I spotted a little stand with macaroon samples, recognized the brand logo as being the same one from the gluten free fair I went to last year. I walked up, grabbed a packaged sample and popped it in my mouth. My husband was like "OMG!!! THAT IS CAKE OR SOMETHING!!!" I was like chillax bro, its a macaroon.

Noodles are a good idea. I am mostly staying away from too cold things. And I'm too lazy to make soup. But.... I may have soup in the freezer! Chicken veggie soup I could just add rice to. You're so brilliant.

Oh... and for the race beer-fresh.gif

hey, when I say this about these kiddos not eating cake for dinner and making sure they are getting their protein, you say "Oh let them have some goodies".  I wanted to be "lenient mom" for a change.

I have been drinking buttloads of milk. Like, gallons. When you are hungry but too sore to eat, it really is the best option to keep nutrients and protein in you. Plus I ate that meatloaf the other night. I could just mash it up without having to chew it. :D I have a spare in the freezer too.

Would you say that again louder so the hubs can hear that please? or my Mom? <_<

Not to be picky, but I'm pretty sure they are macarons not macaroons, but I'm gonna let LOVE2 tell you that.

I'm sorry. I type macaron and the spell checker is all RAWR! and tells me I'm an idiot. So, I was like oh, I must be spelling it wrong. I came home from the fair last year and the spell checker was tellin me how stupid I am. So I've been spelling it wrong for a year because the computer called me dumb. :( At least now I know that when I got home it wasn't a memory problem that made me type it in the way I did.

Either way. I still know what it is, even if I can't spell. :P I will beg forgiveness later from the culinary goddess.
