Hi I am a total newbie

I was wondering if anyone has read Eating Gluten-Free: Delicious Recipes and Essential Advice for Living Well without Wheat and Other Problematic Grains by Shreve Stockton. I read a few of the sample pages on Amazon and it seems like a good fit, but I want to make sure the information is accurate before I spend all that money (and risk confusing myself further) :blink:

I have it, and it's ok. Some of the recipes are decent, but in all honesty I haven't opened that book since the week I got it. I don't remember any really inaccurate info, but one thing that did annoy me was her insistance that people not use splenda (sucralose) because it is a "chemical compound". Um ok lady, regular sugar is a chemical compound! Everything we eat is made up of chemical compounds! But I digress. Had I to do it over again I probably wouldn't have spent the money on that book. You can get plenty of recipes here and other places on the internet for free.
