Yesterday I went to Sonic and got a gluten-free drink. About 2 hours after drinking it I got a horrible headache and sleepy. I could not keep my eyes open the rest of the afternoon!! :( Anyone else get like that after getting a tiny bit of gluten?? Someone must have had contaminated hands or something. That is the only thing I put in my mouth all morning that could have been suspect. By evening I was doing much better... could finally go for a walk and felt like I was awake! I was just curious if anyone else goes into a "coma" when getting glutened.

I get that too. I had a killer head ache all weekend, still lingering today. It was bad on Saturday night, and with being tired I kept shutting my eyes while I was talking too. My friend was like 'Are you okay?'

It is SO hard to explain to hubby & others why I am sleeping!! Ha! Luckily I did start feeling better last night. If hubby & the dog don't get their evening walk, then life just isn't right!! Heehee...

Thanks for the assurance that I am "normal"(???) and that others have the same thing happen to them. ;)

Me too- and if it's really bad, all I want to do is sleep!

I figured out how I got the gluten... when they make drinks at Sonic, they wipe the excess off the rim before putting the lid on. From now on, I will make sure I ask them to PLEASE use a clean cloth. I don't know if other Sonic rest. out there do the same thing... but just a word of warning!!
