Do you think that eating gluten on an empty stomach is worse than when you have something in your stomach. This past week I made a mistake by eating a chicken breast at Wendy's. I ate it on a totally empty stomach and had very severe cramping. I have eaten this chicken many times and have not had such a severe reaction. Just wondering.

I don't think that would play a role into it...I haven't really thought about it...it is possible. It may depend on how much gluten you consume though. You may not have severe reactions to minute amounts when others might...still does damage though.

I think it may be worse symptom-wise.
