I JUST put it in the oven! So mine won't be ready for about an hour. I made two small loafs instead of one. I can't even think of what to make for dinner, I'm so excited about this bread. I think I'm going to make my husband eat leftovers and I'm going to eat this bread for dinner. Seriously, I keep trying to come up with meals that go well with good bread and I can't think of any! I've gotten in the mode of making food that doesn't require bread with it. Maybe tommorrow I will have to make a good thick soup or something else that is good with bread to sop it up.
Potato beans soup
1 can kidney beans
2 hot-dogs, oil for roasting
1 small onion
3 Tbsp. of oil
2 cloves of garlic
1 Tbsp. dry red pepper (paprika), black pepper, salt,
2 Tbsp. corn starch
2 Tbsp. rice flour
Peel potatoes and make small cubes about ½ inch x ½ inch from them. Put them in pot and add water evenly with them.. Cook them for 15 minutes. Add beans, chopped garlic, salt, pepper.
Chop onion and roast it golden brown. Take it off the stove and add dry red pepper. Pure into soup.
Chop hot-dogs on little cubes and roast them in pan with little oil. Add to soup.
At the end mix corn starch and rice flour with about 1 cup water and add to soup. The soup will thicken. Be prepared with 1 cup water because it can get very thick and with water you will adjust the consistence.
Do the final taste and check, if you need more salt, or spices, or even dry garlic and enjoy!
P.S.: You can change hot-dogs for 4-5 chopped bacon slices.
