Does hairspray contain gluten? If so, are there any gluten free hairsprays out there? I keep devoloping a rash, almost like eczema ( spelling?) around my hairline where I spray, so not sure if it's because of my hairspray which is Garnier Fructis anti humidity spray.

I don't know if you'll like hearing this or not, but I ended up giving up on hairspray (tried a bunch of brands), and ended up having my hair cut short. I get so many compliments on my hair now that it's short, and it's so quick and easy to wash and style without product. Last weekend I went through my bathroom and ditched all the hairsprays and gels and other stuff with hydrolized vegetable protein. I don't think I spelled that correctly. My eyes don't water as much and my sinuses seem to have improved too. I ultimatly ditched hair spray, but you came to the right place to get advice, maybe you'll get the right answer.

I honestly don't know if hairspray contains gluten because I don't use hairspray, however, I use gluten free everything at my house and like the Live Clean line. All of their products are gluten free. Unfortunately if you are in the U.S. I'm not sure if they are available there as I am in Canada. Here's their website perhaps you could contact them. They do make a gluten free hair spray, among other things. Open Original Shared Link :)

The Finesse clean line does make gluten-free hairspray (it is labelled) available in the US! I don't use hairspray, but I received it as a gift just because my mother say it on the label! She bought it at Rite Aid but has also seen it at Walgreens and a few grocery stores. I bet you could find it online too!

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
