Hi! I am 20 years old and was diagnosed with Celiacs a little over three months ago, I have been eating gluten free ever since. I have also been taking a strong probiotic twice a day. I have recently tried taking the probiotic only once a day, in the morning, to see how I would feel. I have noticed mild stomach pains and bloating only at night after dinner. These pains aren't nearly as strong as they would be if I had gotten glutened. I am assuming these pains are still due to my intestines healing and having to work harder to digest without the extra help from the probiotic. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar with probiotics or without?

Thank you!!

I know when I start taking probiotics, if I have been off of them awhile, I get gassy until everything evens back out.

I'm also 3 months into the gluten-free diet and if I forget to take my probiotic before eating I definitely notice the difference -- much more 'gut gurgle' as I call it.

thanks guys! i think ill stick it out with the probiotics a little while longer. is it possible to build up a dependence on probiotics, though? that was my only reason for trying to stop, but clearly i am not ready.
