Well have been gluten free for months with little improvement in symptoms, 3 days ago had gallbladder surgery due to continued pain in the upper belly with radiation through into my back and shoulder. Prior to surgery had u/s and hida scan, u/s showed polyps but hida was OK, but one of my gi docs and surgeon were convinced my gallbladder was playing a role. So had surgery, sore as hell yet, and got a call saying that I have chronic cholecystitis with cholesterolosis(strawberry gallbladder), surgeon said my gallbladder was a mess, covered in fatty adhesions and inflamed. I am hoping this helps with some of my symptoms
anyone else with anything similar, still having tremendous pain following surgery, hard to tell what it related to celiac and what may be related to gallbladder??

I had my gallbladder out the friday before Thanksgiving, and it was just this week that I'm feeling back to pre-GB issues level. So give yourself some time to heal! Hopefully the docs are right, and you'll be feeling better soon. I was still eating a very bland (NO FAT!) diet for about a week after. Just take the time to heal.
Hope you feel better soon!

I haven't got the slightest idea how to change people, but still I keep a long list of prospective candidates just in case I should ever figure it out.

I cant say anything about the gall bladder, I just wanted to wish you a good recovery, give yourself time to heal, and I hope this helps you out. Sending out healing thoughts and big hugs. B)

I had my gallbladder removed years before I started having celiac issues and it was a long long recovery for me. I had alot of pain and nausea for weeks afterwards, I know people who had very smooth recoveries but I was not one of them. Hope things settle down for you.
