12 Yr Old Has Stomach Pain Today...day After Endoscopy.

Is this normal? He says it's pain he's never had before. Not that it's severe but it's a different pain. He said it kind of comes and goes...but like comes...gets bad for a second and then slowly fades away.

Should I be concerned about something related to the endoscopy he had yesterday morning?

I'm 17 and I was in pain the day after my endoscopy. It went away the next day. It was a different kind of pain, like a pinching where they took biopsys (thats what mine felt like).

They push air into your stomach when its done so it could be cramping from that.

If he has a fever over 101 or significant bleeding or vomiting then call the doctor. Otherwise take the food really easy, near liquid diet beause it does hurt really bad and mine got worse after eating.

Thanks. Good to know. No fever or anything else so I think I'll just keep an eye on it. Sounds like you had a similar experience. Yes...he said it's a different kind of pain...never had it before.
