feeling so bad, made spaghetti for dinner last night, made normal noodles for me (trying to use them up, on a tight budget, can't afford to throw out food!), and made her own, in her an pan,own dish etc. Pug her plate down on table where she was sitting put mine on the other side, theorem baby woke up, told her repeatable I went to get her sister. Sensations and started wait g mine, she stepson much. Within 2 hours her "eczema" that had disappeared came back with vengeance, she is so miserable, was restless last night, and has barely eaten, wouldn't even eat things she normally begs for, I feel so bad, going to doctor tomorrow, as G I insists she has no bourgeoisie, and doctor wants a record of every thing that could be gluten related to pass on book g this doctor might pull his head out of his ass and get us the reversal to the people we need to see to make sure she is healthy and keep her thatway

Damn you, autocorrect!

I think I got the gist, though. It's a horrible feeling when we gluten our kids :( Hopefully she'll recover quickly, and now you know one more thing to be extra careful about.

I've gotten my son a few times. Most recently I used his toothbrush when I was in the middle of a gluten challenge. How terrible is that??!?!?!?!!!

Another time I served him food I brought to our friend's house on a dish that she had washed with a glutened sponge and air dried where she bakes.

We have our stupid moments, and sometimes it costs our kids. It's hard to forgive ourselves when it happens, but we have to. I am so vigilant in general that I hope at least that helps the mistakes take less of a toll in the long run.

Makes you really have to read between the lines, eh? ;)

I think every mom of a gluten free kid has been there, done that. We learn our lessons (no one wants to be the reason why their kid is suffering) and become more diligent. Hopefully the kids will learn one, too. I know it may be hard to do, but you need to point out to her that it was the gluten that made her feel so bad. Even though this event was accidental, use the experience to drive home the fact that she can't eat that stuff. You will not always be in control of what she is eating. If she learns this lesson now, hopefully down the road she won't do it to herself at a friend's or at school.

Sounds like you are in the UK. With blood numbers that high, I thought docs in UK would give an official diagnosis without the biopsy. You should ask about that, so you can get support faster.  I'd try to find and print out anything that supports that in your country, get another appointment and take all of it with you. Even in the US now, some docs are doing this, my 19 year old step granddaughter got an official diagnosis here in US with just blood results a few months ago.

Is soy sauce in Korea also made from wheat like it usually is in US? I'd be concerned that even if asking about gluten, they would not be aware of or think of some like that.

That's a good idea. It can at least establish the potential for developing celiac disease and can help people decided between a celiac diagnosis and NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity). And it doesn't require a gluten challenge and can be had without a doctor's prescription.

I have my endoscopy on Thursday, has anyone had the procedure done with a cough? I don't have a continuous cough, but every now and then throughout the day I have sort of coughing episodes. They are a lot better than they were but I called endoscopy and they said to speak to my gp and my gp got back to me and said I need to ask endoscopy if its ok if I have it done still.  Help!

Thank you so much, everyone. For the moment my doctor just has me taking iron but hopefully we can reconnect soon. I'm going to look into genetic testing, too. Great advice all around and I appreciate it--and you can bet I'm going off the PPIs!
