Hi,

I am trying to see if a topic has been talked about before, but I can't seem to get the search down to less than a 1000 posts. I took out the word and, that took out 3000 topics. Sorry I just don't seem to be able to figuire this one out. I am looking for any info on tree nut, peanut , and dairy free stuff as well as gluten free. My daughter started kindergarten and there are children with other allergies.

Thanks so much for your help.

Laura

Sorry if this post is unorganized...I am trying to write it fast....

It can be hard to find things at times. If you choose the additional options you can narrow your search to a specific forum/category. This makes looking at your results easier. Ie. since you are looking for foods/products you could start by searching exlusively in that category. You can also filter by a member name, which is relevant at times---ie. if someone you know has a specific experience on a topic and you want to find their posts.

Other words you could try to search for too are casein (dairy), intolerance (word similar to allergy). Are you trying to find food lists of gluten, dairy, nut free foods? Also--do you have copies of the forbidden ingredients yet--for any of those items? You may be interested in this thread--on school and kids with food allergies: Open Original Shared Link

See this thread for info. on searching.

Unfortunately, some of the information may be outdated since we've had one pretty big board update since this was written (for example, I don't think there is an advanced usage help option anymore...you'll see what I mean).

Oh, the best way to reduce the # of results you get--go to search, then click more options...you can specify more clearly what you want.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
