I am reading so many conflicting reports on gluten-free Alcoholic beverages. I was wondering if FIVE KINGS CYPRUS Brandy(distilled twice from selected CYPRUS wines and aged in oak, AND PRODUCED FROM THE white xynisteri grapes of the Troodos Mts.) Unable to get in contact with manuf. yet. Cognac, B & B (Beneditcine/Cognac), Rum, are gluten-free. ?

Also has anybody heard of REEDS Premuim Ginger Brew(All Natural Jamaican Style Ginger Ale), brewed from sparkling filtered water, sweetend by a blend of Canadian white water clover honey, and pineapple juice from concentrate, fresh ginger root, lemon juice, and lime juices, from concentrate and spices. (no preserv/no artif anything) I believe it may be gluten-free.

If not, any soda's that are possibly gluten-free.

Thanks.

Can't help you on the alcoholic side but I can answer a few questions.

The Reeds is gluten free.

Also Coke and Pepsi brand soft drinks are gluten free.

Some people say that distilled alcohols from wheat/rye/barley sources are ok, but I personally avoid them. Non grain source alcohols like white rum and wine should be ok. (I've heard that dark rum can have gluten, but I do not know for sure).

The problem with dark rum can be the carmel color, sometimes not gluten-free. As far as alcohol goes that is going to wind up being a personal decision. Some people who have celiac disease will have a reaction from distilled spirits while others do not.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
