Do the poll, talk about the band.

If you haven't heard of them, do not vote until you have heard atleast these songs:

*Wake Up

*Keep the Car Running

*Rebellions (Lies)

Since there are 88 more years to go in this century, I'd have to wait a bit before I say that they are the GREATEST  ..... but I DO like them!!

You did not provide a "possibly, let's give it time" vote button. :D

and I also like:

City With No Children

The Suburbs

Ohhh! I should've added that :( It's the gluten that left it out, not me!

I wanna have the band play in the same room while I consummate my marriage... whenever that happens lol

And with the Mayan calendar ending in December, I don't think we'll have to worry about those 88 years.

The calendar may be ending, but I am betting you can still plan your Super Bowl Party for 2013.

In the same room as you "consummate" ??....yikes... good luck with that one.

Sorry. My taste leans more toward Bach. Or Wes Montgomery. Or Frank Zappa. I like a wide variety of musical styles, but these guys don't do a thing for me.

But that is why there are so many bands - somebody is going to love them. :)

My tastes lean toward Vivalde, Ella Fitzgerald, Buddy Guy, Etta James, Dave Brubeck.... and a spectrum so wide people would think me odd...(just no country)

but as far as "alternative bands" go, these guys are not so bad. Certainly NOT the band of the 21st century. (sorry) IMHO

Well, being born in the early 90s, I missed most of the good music that America has to offer :( (60s, 70s).

The good thing about music (from any era ) is....you haven't really "missed it"..... you can always listen to it ! Music is timeless, kiddo. :)

True, but I missed being at Woodstock.

At least my generation has Bonnaroo and Coachella.

It's a good thing that music IS timeless. Otherwise IrishHeart and I would have to be REALLY old - except for Brubeck, all of the musicians we named are dead, some of them for centuries!

I think Buddy Guy is still going.... :)

And Etta James just passed :(. Talk about a great live show...

Don't forget Billie Holliday.

Irma Thomas. She's still kicking!

My playlists kick out a schizophrenic mix between hubby's Alice in Chains, my son's Shinedown, and my JJ Grey & Mofro.

And then there's Willie and Jamie Johnson. And Don Williams.

Etta James was a musical goddess. Her rendition of "At Last"?...wow

here's a ditty I can't get out of my head...

Not bad. You may like The Tossers, too.

I have my endoscopy on Thursday, has anyone had the procedure done with a cough? I don't have a continuous cough, but every now and then throughout the day I have sort of coughing episodes. They are a lot better than they were but I called endoscopy and they said to speak to my gp and my gp got back to me and said I need to ask endoscopy if its ok if I have it done still.  Help!

Thank you so much, everyone. For the moment my doctor just has me taking iron but hopefully we can reconnect soon. I'm going to look into genetic testing, too. Great advice all around and I appreciate it--and you can bet I'm going off the PPIs!

I walk fast for fitness, 4 to 6 km per day. I am also 74 years old. Apart from the Celiac challenge, my lifestyle is healthy. I had a sciatiac nerve pinching under my one foot, with inflamation in my whole shin. It was almost cured, when the other shin started paining and burning. I do stretches, use a natural cooling gel and rest my feet. Can Celiac cause muscle pains/inflamation, or is it just over-excercising?

I recently started shopping at a nearby Trader Joe's store. I was surprised at the number and variety of (healthy) gluten-free options sold there. I must admit their low prices are also quite tempting. However, I am curious as to the labeling on all their packages. While none of their products are certified as gluten-free, many are identified as 'GLUTEN FREE' on the packaging. Are these items safe for celiacs? Has anyone tried Trader Joe's products and have there been any adverse reactions?

HI, my doctor suggested one week of consuming gluten before blood tests.  I have been gluten free for 3 years.  Has anyone been through this and will I get exact results after one week of consuming gluten?  I don't even know if I can do this, if I get sick I am not sure if I can continue, any suggestions??  Thanks in advance.
