I can't seem to find any toaster bags to use in the mean time, so, would parchment paper work to toast paper in a toaster to avoid cross-contamination?

Will it catch fire? Will my bread become contaminated

Thanksgiving dinners take 18 hours to prepare.  They are consumed in 12 minutes.  Half-times take 12 minutes.  This is not a coincidence.  - Emma Bombeck
