It's Blood Test After Diagnosis

Mu daughter has been gluten-free since feb 9th. I am suppose to get blood work down in a couple of weeks. What should I make sure I have them test for? Also, what is the role of pediatric Gi? Don't feeling support there? Should I get s nuittionist? She is doing better very active so she gets tired easy at least I think she appears fatigued. Thanks for your help.

Has your daughter been dx as having celiac disease already? Your post isn't clear.

Spell check took over and I failed to realize it. She had the biopsy in feb and confirmed it was celiac. She has been gluten free since then. She is due for her first blood test beginning of June and I want to make sure that if I am taking blood that I have them run it for everything. Her vitamin d was just a bit low but is there anything else that I should ask for to be tested? Vitamin b? Thanks for the advice.

      Enlarged lymph nodes in neck and groin with celiac are not uncommon. They can take time to reduce even after going gluten-free. Monitoring is key.

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
