Accidental Almond "cookies"

Tonight I attempted to make almond butter. You have grind the almonds forever in the food processor. As I was doing it I could smell the motor of my food processor overheating. I decided it probably wasn't a good idea to blow the motor on this little project. The almonds were ground up but not creamy yet. I started playing around and I added some maple syrup and cinnamon. The syrup helped the almonds stick together. I molded them into little balls and pressed them a bit. They looked like little cookies. The taste is fantastic. I wonder what a little vanilla will do.... anyway, not sure what they are going to do to my waistline but I do feel like I ate a cookie!

That does sound yummy! Could your mix be used for a "crumble" topping?
