Liver Enzymes Have Gone Back Down In 3 Months!

Well, I about "clicked' my heels when leaving the Dr's office today! My AST was 111 when I was diagnosed, (normal level is 40) and today the results are 42!! My ALT was 132 (norm is 40) and today its 60!! Wow, what a difference in three months just being gluten free!! Also my LDL Chol went down to 134 and HDL up to 49!! The other good number....although my triglycerides were not overly high, they also went down from 99 to 79!! The only number that is staying the same is my glucose at 113, which of course they consider a bit higher than they would like it to be,(65-99) but really that is not bad.

Now, on my quest to get another Dr. because this one really does not have much of a "clue" when it comes to Celiac Disease.

Need to go eat my gluten-free lunch now!!! :)

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

      What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
