How Medically Alerted Are You?

So I've seen a few threads recently about medic alert tattoos, but maybe I'm for being less extreme. Should I wearing a medic alert bracelet? I suppose, I do have a "disease" but if I'm unconscious I would hope to god an emt doesn't attempt to pour something down my throat. Any attempt to feed me when im awake will result in 20 questions from me, but there could be other factors. Who knows, what are your thoughts?? Do you have one? Do you suggest getting one? Am I taking this too lightly, perhaps I actually do need to put some thought into this.

I've never seen the use in a medical alert bracelet for JUST celiac. For one thing, just about anything they're going to put in you in an emergency is going to be gluten-free because IVs and injectables are universally gluten-free. And in a life-threatening emergency, I want them doing anything that might save me, even if that means stuffing bread down my throat.

I have ICE contact section in my cell phone (in case of emergency) I can put in notes such as husband or mom. In addition, I wrote allergies. But I agree with Richard that if its' life threatening I think I'd rather suffer the consequences than die.

Yes I have to agree, I'd rather be glutened than dead. I have to agree, I thought it was a little off the wall, but wondered if I had missed something lol. I'm a medical worker and had never seen this, but hey, you learn something new everyday. :)
