I got a bunch of Ensure Plus to gain weight back after going on the gluten free diet. Does anyone know if I should keep taking my calsium, D3 and multivitiman with it?

I honestly can't see why not.

( but I am not a certified nutritionist.)

I would see how much vitamins are in the Ensure? If its the amount you have been taking, I would back off some.

I'm not sure what the question is? Are you asking about an interaction? I would look at the Ensure site or the vitamin's directions for that.

Good point, K.

You do not want to exceed the daily vitamin intake, but if you are taking ANY vitamins prescribed by the doctor because of a serious deficiency (like B-12 or folate or D) then you should keep taking the dosage he/she says and ask what you should do.

Ensure is meant to be a short term supplementation for people who are unable to eat enough or swallow food. My Dad used it when he was on dialysis and lost his appetite. But, it is not really a meal replacement.

I am sure you know all this, :) but others reading this may not.
