I have a four-year-old recently diagnosed with Celiac and I'm diagnosed too. I can't really find any playgroups in my immediate area and was thinking about starting a Meetup group. Has anyone tried this? I would love to have maybe monthly playdates or picnics with families. I think I could get more people if I made it a general food sensitivity group but at the same time, that makes it even harder if there's no nuts, no wheat, no dairy...

Any advice? Also, any moms in Southern CA interested :) ?

In SoCal. Not a mom. New to this journey (probably about when you posted this was when it all began for me). I just emailed someone in Newport who had a support group but it just bounced back to me as undeliverable.

Let me know if you're still interested in starting one.

p.s. Evelyn Tribole (www.evelyntribole.com) is a nutritionist whose son also has Celiac. She's off of the 73 & Birch.
