Does anyone know whether fresh ground rice flour is supposed to uh, well, smell like sweaty socks? Would this mean the rice was in stock to long and the oils went rancid? It doesn't smell very appetizing. I can think of better ways to get fiber than eating sweaty socks lol.

it shouldn't o.o. Did you wash the rice beforehand and let it dry? The way i made it (with grandmas help) was using one of those vitamix thingys.

Oh no I didnt wash it. deifferent people say different things about whether it should smell that way. I'm suspicious because many things I have I bought in the bulk section at my local organic store have been rancid. I think I may complain but I do not know how much it will help. Its all natural and no perservatives but perhaps they buy way too much for their turnover.
