My IC issues have been acting up lateley. How do I get them to calm down? I think diet coke, cranberry juice, red wine and coffee are the killers. What are yours? It is preventing me from working. I wont take the med for it because it made me almost blind for the pd that I did take it. I'd love to comiserate with anyone that knows what I'm talking about.

For me, it takes no gluten, no dairy and very little caffeine to keep it under control, but it does work. Even small amounts of dairy (like baked goods) will cause a flare though. Its annoying, but it beats running to the bathroom 50 times a day. I don't take elmiron either.

It could easier list the foods that I don't make antibodies for. Eggs, pork, avocado, sardines and cucumber. Everything else I am eating is making my body work very hard. I am just beginning a rotation diet in hopes my body can function better. I have a simple way of looking at a rotational diet that Karen Brinkman put out. It still seems a bit complicated to someone just starting. Soon I think it will be easy for me. In the mean time, while I get it organized I am having various kinds of fish for lunch daily.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?
    • mishyj
Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
