You have learned a great deal indeed, Loey. And I am the one who is honoured. Our health is so precious - may yours be fully restored.

Glad you had a good party :)

- Symptoms from 2001, maybe before. Across 20+ years, these have included, vomiting, D, migraines, headaches, recurrent miscarriage, inflammation problems (failure to heal from injuries) brain fog, anxiety and more!
- Elimination diet using Atkins, 2003 – excluded wheat, caffeine, quorn. 2005, excluded sesame, alcohol
- Started diagnosis route April 2012, blood tests, endoscopy – said negative, gluten challenge, clearly something very wrong, had to stop after 3 weeks.
- Gluten Free, August 2012, Corn Free, September 2012. Removed most processed gluten free foods.
- Genetic testing, December 2012 – negative – Diagnosis – Non Celiac Gluten Intolerance (NCGI)
- Elimination diet, January 2013 – all of the above plus dairy, legumes, all grains, sugar, additives, white potatoes, soy. Reintroducing sloooowly now. Health improving.

Loweeee! great news about the party -- was wondering how it all went. So glad that you had something special to celebrate -- NOTHING is more celebratory than returning health! :) :)

11 year-old Son had negative blood panel, but went on gluten-free diet of his own volition to see if his concentration would improve, his temper abate, and his energy level would increase. Miraculous response!

I have to admit I am intrigued by the prayer shawl. I bought a clearance Prayer Shawl book, because the patterns looked soo easy. I did not expect the personal stories would be so interesting. The story on page 59 caught my interest. A wounded soldier at Walter Reed was asked what he had wrapped around him. He said he didn't know, someone just gave it to him. He likes it because it keeps him warm. He then added a confession to the monk, he hears praying voices when he wears it.

Even if I only make 1 a year, I think it will be worth it.

I was just given a prayer shawl made by my SIL's mom and her church ladies. I always feel warm (like a hug) and surrounded by love and prayers when I wear it. What's the name of the book you bought?

Love,
Loey

It's totally true!!

Now I thought I was having a bad day until I got a voicemail from my girlfriend asking how to get raw eggs out of the carpet... I asked what happened. She went to change her clothes and brush her teeth to take her 3 and 4 year olds to gymnastics. In that 5 minutes, they got a dozen eggs out of the kitchen fridge AND a dozen out of the garage fridge and had an egg fight.. IN HER LIVING ROOM!!! I'm sooooo glad I'm not her right now! Poor thing!!

Butch jumped to the top of the door and played 'balance beam'....

Since I've learned to bury the plastic baggies at the bottom of the trash I've had no more awakenings to food juice spread all over my bed, along with bits of chewed plastic.
