Yes. I used it at first to replace my gluten flour, but when I stopped eating it, my body reacted like it did to gluten withdrawl. But many people seem to get by great with it.

I find that I can eat rice a few times a week (and rice flour) with no problems EXCEPT when I'm in a state of inflammation from a glutening. Then I have to cut rice and all nightshades until I'm completely over it then I can use rice, rice flour and nightshades sparingly again. Seems to be true for wine too.
A lot of people finally get full relief when they drop all grains. I feel greatest then too, but I do like to eat rice occasionally. But if you think you're reacting to rice, I believe that you probably are.

Do you react the same to white and brown rice?
