I'm looking for a second opinion since our pedi GI will only further discuss Celiac and way ahead if we agree to biopsy testing. We're in WV, but currently travel to Pittsburgh and are willing to travel to see a good pediatric GI who may give us more options. Thanks!

You could try Dr Anthony Colatrella 412-232-8104

Dr. Ernest Stanley 412-533-3077

another option is to call children's hospital in Pittsburgh & ask for a referral.....

I'm not sure if either doc does children anymore....but it is worth a phone call & if they don't maybe they can give you a name .....

I'm not sure where you are in WV. I'm in the Eastern Panhandle. My little guy sees Dr. Benny Kernzer at Children's National. We love him. He sees patients at the outpatient clinics in the NoVa and Rockville, MD area.

ETA: Part of the reason we love him is that he is very conservative and is not in a rush to do procedures.

Hi, I'm Melissa

Mostly gluten-free 5/12 in an attempt to help migraines

Surprise! All my GI symptoms resolved (that I was blaming on not having a gallbladder)

EGD 1/13; biopsies showed inflammation suggestive of partially treated celiac

Bloodwork negative (of course, I was gluten-free)

GI dx'd celiac 1/13
