Training for the half is going pretty well. I manage two runs during the week (2-3 miles in length without the warmup/cooldown, shorter is usually a quick interval workout), and one long run on the weekends. I've done two 5-mile runs and am looking forward to some cooler weather for my first try at a 6-mile this weekend!
So... after how long of a workout do you supplement and/or drink water?
And what do you consume?
I don't have one of those running belts yet but I guess I'll have to get one as it starts to warm up or just do circuits to stop by my house for swigs of water.
As a total newbie to the running thing, I don't know how much or when to consume calories while working out. I've done long workouts before, but I guess a little irresponsibly because I never consumed anything during, even if I was at the gym for two hours (back when I had two hours for a spinning class and lifting!).
