I have only recently gone gluten-free after a Celiac diagnosis. A family friend, who is a father of 2 teenage boys with Celiac, recommended I drink Aloe Vera juice for a few weeks to help me heal. Have any of you heard of this?

I ran that idea by my Osteopathic doctor. He thought it might be too astringent. I still wonder, because I have seen so many aloe vera miracles with other things. He offered glutamine, but warned that yeast like it. Sure enough my son got his yeast infection back over time.

Just to clarify my son did not have celiac, but small intestine damage due to parasites.

I am thinking I might take in some aloe vera and maybe some glutamine, but not overly much.

I'm thinking of drinking some a few times a week with orange juice for a few months. It couldn't hurt. Thanks.
