About Me

I now have two handsome grandsons, and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. My husband is still working overseas as an independent contractor. Life is good!

  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I would like to know where and how to begin an elimination test, too. My doc told me to use the ELISA test for a starting place, but if it can be done without the test, I'd like to try it.
  3. Ditto Jerseyangel. The delayed reactions are why the journal is so necessary.
  4. There is a difference between IgE and IgG, and it does matter. How a person feels on a day-to-day basis is very important. If you don't think so, try being run down, achey, and depressed for a few months, then have a day of feeling fantastic. You will see the difference. If certain foods are causing the run down, achey, depressed feeling, then you need...
  5. I am biopsy-diagnosed celiac with multiple food intolerances. I have discovered most of the ones I know of by trial-and-error. I spoke to my doc about the ELISA test, and she is looking around to see if she can find an allergist that will order it for me so my insurance will cover it. The ELISA test does not look for IgE responses, it looks for IgG responses...
  6. It reads like they are trying to be politically correct and cover all of their bases. What a bunch of maroons they are!
  7. I have them all the time. Bloodwork shows that my hormone levels are changing with perimenopause, so that is what causes mine.
  8. I get them, and they itch and hurt horribly! Mine always come with a severe allergic reaction to something, so it is not just celiac-triggered. I have to wash my hair every day until the breakout subsides to get relief. Nothing I have tried prevents it.
  9. Sarah, I think you lived every mother's nightmare about not loving her baby! I am soooo glad you were able to resolve the problem! Daddy will certainly never forget being the very first to hold his son! Lily, I was shocked to see you refer to consuming gluten as a poisoning. It did make me stop and realize that for our bodies, that is exactly what it...
  10. Dizziness after eating gluten? YES!!! I think it might be because it wrecks havoc on my mucous membranes.
