Developing Diabetes After Celiacs

31 January 2008 - 02:54 PM

Curious if anyone can help me out with how they found out about their diabetes after having Celiacs. As in, symptoms that made them persue testing. Or at least point me in the right direction for research. Everything I have read is very vague. I'm having some problems and wanted to ask all of you first before watching my Dr make the "Yup, she a hypochondriac!" face.

Thanks.

Ideas For Removing The Dairy From Recipes?

21 December 2007 - 08:49 PM

My favorite bread recipe uses powdered milk. Now I need to remove all the dairy from the recipe and I'm a bit lost. Anyone have any suggestions?

Or, does anyone have a tried and true recipe for an Italian bread recipe?

Thanks!

gluten-free Ready To Eat Meals From Hormel

23 October 2007 - 05:35 AM

Hi,

I live in a hurricane evacuation zone, so I am always looking for ready-to-eat meals for our evacuation kit. In light of the fires out west, thought some people might appreciate the additional convenience food option.

I just saw these ready to eat meals from Hormel and thought they would work great for evacuations or emergency lunches at school. I called Hormel to verify they are gluten-free and they will label for dairy (we need gluten-free/CF). I found these at Wal-mart. They are small microwavable containers.

Chicken and Rice
BBQ Beef and Beans
Sweet and Sour Chicken
Dinty Moore Beef Stew

Thoughts and prayer to all those who have been evacuated for the fires.
