In Topic: Why Am I Still In So Much Pain?

WOW, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE FEELING THE SAME EXACT WAY THAT I DO. I HAVE BEEN GLUTEN FREE SINCE 2-07, AND AS I WRITE I STILL HAVE THE STOMACH AND RIB PAIN. I DO EAT ALOT OF NUTS, AND I WONDER IF MY STOMACH JUST CAN'T TOLERATE IT YET. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE TRIED ANYTHING NEW THAT MAYBE HAVE HELPED YOU. :)

I Have that pain as well and massive swelling all the time in that rib under the rib area..., day in day out and I've been off gluten for 2yrs. Celiac sucks!!
Sincerely Celiac Sue

Hi Subhangi,
Going gluten free is certainly not an easy task, though getting easier with a lot of products going gluten free, but its the hidden little things you find gluten in that im finding more of a problem ..
Joining the Coeliac Society, has helped filling me in on products that are safe to eat.
Found out recently that the choc topping on coffee cappicino especially is not always gluten free.. so that was a hidden one for me i didn't even think of... but feel free to email me directly if you like to find out anything.. I have been gluten free for nearly 12 months and my cholestrol and health has improved.. but its a constant battle with food.
My email addy is noreenbriggs@optusnet.com.au if you want to me email me and just vent tis fine..
Good to see another aussie on here...
Thanks .. dreams25

Hi Noreen,Nice to talk to u ;)
Yep, seem to get contaminated everytime I turn around. I'm vegetarian anyway should be healthy but just feel like I'm dying constantly because of this disease. It is so incideous(probably spelt wrong but had to use that word as it is appropriate)I'm curious, diet coke is my weakness, anyone heard anything bad about gluten and coke?
Bye, Subhangi xx

Sunny: Please post phone number for Clinique as I have to call too...

Hi, I find it interesting that your hubby was misdiagnosed with IBS and Colitis. I was as well and one very rude doctor then went on to say if I had bowel problems it was because i was silly enough to live in India, AS IF IT IS HIS BUSINESS WHERE I CHOOSE TO LIVE! and how dare he discriminate against other countries anyway. I had to go to Bangkok, Thailand to get a proper diagnosis. They were very sweet, helpful and understanding as well. I'm sorry about your husband, I hope he can battle through...

Thanks Armetta and Elonwy...I am hoping that find the right combo also. This no sleep business is no good, especially when I have to go to work the next day and try to be alert!!! Armetta, do you think the B-Complex is helping with you energy level? I kind of feel it is...but then sometime I think it is just the simple power of suggestion.

Hi, I'm new to the celiac forum, but old to being a celiac,(as opposed to being a brainiac as my husband jokes,0. I've had insomnia for the last 20yrs!!! Is there a cure? It is just a way of life now days for me...it is so good to be able to talk to others with the same symptoms. I just get eye rolls and changed subject when I mention anything around my family and friends...thanks for being there. Subhangi
