Fast Food French Fries

17 January 2009 - 07:07 PM

I have listened to the debate and didn't bother to check the allergen menus, ha ha jokes on me!
Yes, I should have looked for the info myself and I finally did! If you want fast food french fries, stick with Burger King!!! They were the only ones that I found that didn't list wheat or gluten as an allergen in regard to their french fries.

Cripes I am so annoyed with myself for not checking this out myself.

Café/coffee House?

15 January 2009 - 05:06 PM

What do you think the difference is between the two? What would you expect walking in the door of a café as opposed to a coffee house?
Does the name affect whether or not you go there, if so, why?

Clould This Be The Answer?!

10 December 2008 - 09:14 PM

Celiac untreated causes malabsorption, which leads to vitamin deficiencies. Without B12 you have malabsorption issues, which leads to the BIG D. The BIG D leads to more malabsorption and the vicious cycle goes on and on and on...
SO I started taking the sub-lingual B at the beginning of this week and this is the first time I haven't had the BIG D every dang day. I am on the verge of being excited. Here all this time I have been looking for what else might I be allergic to, or what food has wheat hidden in it (chips for example) and so on. I was sitting in front of the computer crying and just about to give up on a solution. Instead I looked for one more thing and found about about the B12 and away we go....
It is too soon to say this is the answer but I am so hopeful and am going to the Dr pretty soon. A new Dr because the last one didn't do anything regarding the Celiac.

Itchy

06 November 2008 - 10:17 PM

I have no idea if this is gluten related and I don't see how it could be but who knows. If I get any its pure accident/cc'd kind of thing. Regardless I can't deal with this, its driving me crazy...

I get an "itch" on my neck then my nose then my back then my arm then my tummy then my head then my leg and so on. Its a tingle and sometimes it just a tickle, it isn't for the most party itchy like a bug bite. Sometimes it is an all out itch and sometimes its from my hair or my shirt touching me.

Once it starts it keeps going. Its been going on for the last hour but I am going to try and go to sleep and I probably will be able to. It might come back in the morning or not until noon etc..

Does anyone have any idea what causes this and how to stop it?
TIA
