Gluten Free Grocery Store Utica, Michigan

10 January 2009 - 09:34 AM

Hello all,

I thought I would post this since the owner said business is not doing well. Life Smart Foods is located in Utica, Michigan off of Hall Road (exact address below). They have an amazing selection of gluten-free foods. Two entire grocery aisles on both sides plus an entire row of freezer space filled with gluten-free foods. It's really an amazing selection. The deli also has two gluten-free soups per day with a gluten-free ready to eat desert case filled with gluten-free goodies. There are also gluten-free deli meats ready to slice. Check it out!

I have a friend who is going to begin the gluten free diet for her children. She lives in the downtown Chicago area and I was wondering if anyone has any references for places to shop and restaurants to dine at in Chicago?

Thanks so much. I can be emailed directly at kfanelli@mac.com

New Orleans

18 February 2008 - 03:56 PM

I am traveling to New Orleans the last weekend in March. I eat dairy free too. I haven't read a lot of positive info regarding New Orleans restaurants and accommodating the gluten-free diet. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks so much.
