About Me

I have 2 conditions that contribute to symptons that MIGHT have led to Celiac Disease. ONE is an abdominal support lining disolved several years back, allowing my abdomen to expand/contract radically with food or bloating. The 2nd is the valve in my throat responsible for closing off after or during swallowing does not completely close, due to being repaired at 2 months old from a set of birth defects in the mouth (Cleft Pallet, Tongue Tied, etc)

1 resulting condition is a tendancy to diahrea, another is that AFTER EATING wheat related foods my nose runs profusely, IMMEDIATELY. It is EMBARASSING to have to BLOW MY NOSE when eating at a restaurant.

One result is that I can OVER EAT without feeling much pain, because the abdomin accepts the excess and simply expands. THEN the food has pressure and with the valve NOT fully closing, comes back up. To prevent ACID DAMAGE, I have kept my diet extremely NON ACIDIC. This however, has its OWN health problems.

The UPSIDE is that I KNOW if I over eat BECAUSE my food comes back up (with LITTLE OR NO discomfort) so I know IMMEDIATELY when I over eat.

I have noticed that ANY CORN PRODUCTS of ANY KIND cause EXTREME acid conditions, and ANY wheat products come up WHOLE without being digested AND cause extreme NASAL DRIP and Congestion.

I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in 2000, and simply constricting my diet to PROTIEN AND CARBOHYDRATE at 2:1 ratio, and taking a vitamin and mineral regimen of Calcium/D, Magnesium, Chromium Picolinate, Selenium and Vitamin E and using a SALT SUBSTITUTE known as NO-SALT (a Potassium Salt) ALMOST COMPLETELY eliminates all symptoms.

As long as I maintain this diet I have ZERO symptoms of Diabetes, even when doing extensive blood testing. Could it have been a Gluten-Intolerance instead of Diabetes?
