About Me
I am Australian and live around an hour from Melbourne. I have been Gluten and lactose intolerant for the past 10 years. My mother, brother, daughter, nephew and niece also have the condition. I threw out all the normal flours etc and bought in the gluten free options and just used them in place of the other products.
6 months ago, I moved with my husband to South Africa. Gluten Free options are minimal here. MSG is still in everything. I am able to track down the basics but it is so much easier to find food in Australia.
I have recently travelled to Europe and also struggled terribly trying to find appropriate food with lunches being the main problem.
I have also found the airlines to not be Gluten Free friendly - on two occasions I've had to sit up at the back of the plane near the toilet in agony due to their incompetence.
