I have been gluten-free for 6 months and just recently cut out all dairy like you and also corn. Everything has corn!!! Like your husband the longer I am gluten-free the harder it hits me when something is contaminated. It is also how I began eliminating the dairy and corn. One by one I have to be a detective but it is worth it. When I have good days it is such a relief. Yes it is a lifestyle change but his body is so worth it. I also had Lymphoma twice. I am 67 and it is a debate over whether the lymphoma is related to ciliac or not. I just know that chemo and radiation were not fun and if I have to change foods that's ok.

Just began eliminating corn and dairy and it is challenging. I just read that at my age, 67 it will take longer to heal than a young person. I was undiagnosed for 30 years so my gut was a mess and it makes sense that healing will take a while. I was gluten-free for a few years then got off track and now have 6 months clear.

In Topic: Dairy Intolerant...any Success In Adding In Goat's Milk?

27 January 2015 - 01:53 PM

I don't know about goats milk products but I would try about anything to see if it works as a sub. I am just starting to deal with the dairy issue. After months of gluten free and feeling much better but I notice I have nasty reactions to all dairy. I was still having bad days and was trying to pin it down to gluten. Since I don't use much dairy It took me a while to figure out when I did I would have the pain, bloating and awful gas. I hope you'll let us know if you try the goats milk.
