First major symptoms started early 2007, irritability, skin rash, constant gastroenteritis, depression, bloody stools, nausea, lethargic and un-controllable weight gain. Diagnosed Celiac from positive reaction to gluten free diet November 2008. Un-diagnosed after 8 months on Gluten free diet and no signs of disease with blood work or biopsies other than positive for both genes. Diagnosed Gluten sensitive after two month challenge due to ulcer (later found out from h-pylori), erosion to stomach and duodenum May 2009. Unofficial diagnosis of Celiac Disease August 13, 2009, official diagnosis of sever gluten intollerance at same time.
The reason for the unofficial and the official is because I am in the Navy and I do not want to be discharged with only 6 years left until retirement.
